I too have ben searching for years for these! In my high school years I would walk to a little store and buy Zaps on my lunch break. They are chewy, tart and delicious! I can not find them anywhere.....
Amber, where at specifically in Dallas? I remember these in my Junior High in Richardson...funny how we recall these things from our youth! (well, i guess that all depends on how long it's been since you last had these! for me, it's been about 16 or 17 years!)
I've done a fair amount of searching too over the years. Like Amber, I bought them from my high school vending machine. (Sahuaro in Tucson, AZ) I have learned they were made by the Wonka company but have NEVER found them, so I think they are no longer made. There are candies in some gumball machines that are very similar though.
If I could find these, I'd do cartwheels. (I'd have to learn how first, but for these I'd be willing.) They used to have Zaps in the machine at my high school, and I've never seen them anywhere else. I'm just glad to see that I remember them right.
Does anyone know where I can find this candy? I have been serching the web for months to find it if so please e-mail me
